Have you ever looked around the beach? Do you see people with scars, stretch marks, loose skin, redness, bumps, bruises, and other perceived flaws or imperfections? Do you see people hiding under coverups or t-shirts? Most people are far more concerned about their own perceived flaws to seek out yours.
So let yourself enjoy the beach, the pool, or the park this summer. Your body is already a “beach body” just by being a body. If you notice anyone paying particular attention to your body while you’re out, it’s related to their issues, not yours.
It can be difficult to suddenly feel confident in your own skin, so practice body confidence each time you’re out this summer by complimenting yourself and allowing your body to just be without policing it. You might even start a trend of self acceptance and body positivity!
